Elsa Felts(巴黎综合理工学院)

On behalf of all of us, thank you for these past two unforgettable weeks. We are incredibly

grateful to the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute for welcoming us with open arms and for organizing such a rich and inspiring summer school.

Over the last two weeks, we’ve gone on a true scientific adventure; rich, intense, tough, but always fascinating.

And let’s be honest, some of the “basic content” had us wondering if we’d accidentally walked into a PhD defense.

But piece by piece, idea by idea, it all started to click.  From “The Largest and The Smallest” ; the vastness of black holes and exoplanets to the tiniest particles that shape our universe,

everything came together in a beautifully interconnected way.

A big thank-you to the Institute for giving us a glimpse of real, cutting-edge research. The visits to the PandaX lab, the Trident lab, and many others left us speechless, and maybe a little

intimidated. It's hard to believe that in just a few years, we might be the ones working on those very projects …

These labs truly gave us a glimpse into our own futures, as future physicists, researchers, but also possible AI collaborators or rivals, who knows.  It’s not as if the field wasn’t already

competitive enough!

But beyond physics, we learned a lot more. Communication, for one, was an adventure of its

own. Frequently using a translator added an unexpected layer to every interaction, and let’s just say that our newly invented dialect of Chinglish may not be officially recognized, but it got the     job done.

Now let’s us remember  the bonding moments that made this program truly special. Whether it  was within our group projects,  facing off in fiercely competitive ping-pong battles, bonding over hot meals and even hotter Shanghai weather, exploring the Bund, or taking 300 photos of the    Oriental Pearl Tower from slightly different angles, all of these moments became a part of the    experience. A unique, hilarious, and meaningful experience.

But the most valuable thing we gained here is friendship. How amazing is it to say we now have friends from all over the world? From America to Europe, Asia to Australia, this program

connected us across borders. And of course, that means we now have many new travel destinations to add to our bucket list.

To close, I sincerely want to thank each and every one of you for making this SJTU International Summer School such a meaningful experience. A special thank you to the Tsung-Dao Lee

Institute for hosting us so generously. Thank you to our professors for sharing your knowledge

and passion. And thank you to all the students, for making all of us feel so welcomed, even when we were far from home.

我很高兴认识你们.  后会有期

Thank you!
